    As my main reason was to visit relatives and revisit my parents place of birth, I had not researched things to do or visit but feel the area offered much in the way of easy walking distance for eateries, country vistas, ease of access to transport, historical information and plenty of opportunity to explore the countryside, parks, gardens, manors, tow paths, streams, lakes and walking tracks. Of course having good weather the whole time i was there helped for a most enjoyable time.

    Beautiful views as you are driving though the moors to reach...

    Beautiful views as you are driving though the moors to reach your destination. Local amenities for all the family, attended a family wedding nearby lovely food at the The White Hart Hotel Quaint little villages on route. Just absolutely beautiful. Strange to think that Manchester is only 15 to 20 minutes away

    Beautiful little cottage with vintage furnishings...

    Beautiful little cottage with vintage furnishings maintaining the history of the building. Gorgeous real fire and logs provided. Amazing views across the hills with Manchester lighting up the sky in the distance. Fully equipped kitchen and modern bathroom. Excellent location to enjoy everything Saddleworth has to offer. Bread , milk , butter, jams provided. I would add a hot tub and garden furniture to compliment the whole experience.

    Absolutely beautiful little cottage which is furnished with quality items. Feather duvets, feather pillows and hotel grade sheets make for an amazing nights sleep. The log fire is perfect, so cosy. Bread, milk, butter, orange juice and jam being provided is a great welcoming experience.

    It is more comfortable than a hotel to book a house. It was very clean, a lovely wood fire (even though I had to clean it out first). Great surroundings and safe with ample parking. Was able to come and go-as required.
