In fairness we only saw the town immediately around Ashtree House but it looked a little down-at-the-heels. Had a very good pizza at a small place near Ashtree House. Who knew you could get a Haggis pizza?

Paisley is a beautiful town with so much culture and history. It is a university town, a cathedral town and a town with beautiful buildings and a great heritage. The Paisley pattern was milled in the town of Paisley, therefore the name, Paisley pattern, The public transportation is excellent and the train station is right in the center of town, well you can take a train into Glasgow in 10 minutes and have access to trains going all over Scotland and the UK. I highly recommend a visit to this beautiful place.

As an elder former Paisley resident I cannot comment on the current state I have found during recent visits. Some historic locations have been redeveloped as happens everywhere in this modern age. Visitors may still discover places of intrest with a little searching and homework. Keep in mind most of our industrial heritage had been lost sadly.

The heating in the room wasn’t working.

The heating in the room wasn’t working. A very small radiator was on. We were so cold but another radiator was provided. Bathroom heater was completely useless. It was a huge accessible room. Didn’t bother us too much as we were leaving early without taking a shower. However wouldn’t have liked to spend any time in there. Really needs to be much warmer in an exceptionally cold spell. That said the room was spotless and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was nice too.

It is a lovely clean hotel.

It is a lovely clean hotel. Lots of attention to detail in the bedrooms which are very well decorated, cosy and inviting. Staff are efficient and friendly. My favourites were the bar staff who were very friendly and welcoming. What would be good- instructions on how the shower taps work would be very handy. Attention to things that are not working so the plug in the bathroom sink being stuck could have been picked up earlier. But overall, a lovely restful stay.

The Holiday Inn Express at Glasgow Airport is only an 8 minute stroll under a covered walkway to the Airport Terminal Building and is ideal for catching that early morning flight. The room was comfortable with all the usual facilities that would be expected. An excellent breakfast is included in the price and although not as close as its sister Hotel, the Holiday Inn, the increased distance is only marginal and the Hotel adequately met all our needs.

Very nicely appointed room, and larger than expected for an airport hotel. Lovely big fluffy white towels and nice quality complementary toiletries. Corridors and lounge areas are well-presented. The restaurant is a very pleasant space and the menu has something for everyone - much better than the competition at Glasgow Airport. Staff on Reception and in restaurant were very helpful, efficient and friendly. Will definitely return.

Room was absolutely spotless with very comfortable beds. Also had a bath with overhead shower, rather than just a walk in shower. Our room was at the back(I requested a quiet room), and although there was a function on at night we didn't hear a thing. Also the room view was nice. This hotel is a five minute drive from Glasgow Airport.

Everything. Beautiful property excellent hosts. And we had superb dinner. Room was perfect. Also if you fly out of Glasgow Airport this location is the best, you can get, and you will have a great stay as well. Wish we had extra time to explore Paisley. Lovely town.
