Ballachulish itself is not particularly spectacular, but is the starting point and supply point for a variety of excursions and especially hikes. Glencoe, Oban, Mull and Skye are not far away or can be reached on day trips. There are hotels, a restaurant, several cafes and a Coop in the village. Short walk to local hotel on Loch Great location for touring local area and Fortwilliam & Oban The cottage was very spacious, well equipped everything we needed. Log fire made cottage cosy. The host kept in touch by telephone and we could contact Jonathan if need be. Very attentive but did not intrude on our privacy. Well done Jonathan excellent hoilday cottage wish we could stay forever. WILL NOT HESITATE TO BOOK AGAIN. As we say in Scotland HASTE YE BACK. Well equipped kitchen and comfy bed. Felt very luxurious! Catrin is a friendly host. Views on the mountains, bridge and garden were also nice. Nice place to relax and unwind after a day of exploring. If you stay here I would recommend a visit to Loch Leven hotel as well.
