The location of the pods is excellent; five minutes walk from the station and with views across to the small isles and within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants. The lockbox allowed us to check in independently and dash to the boatyard for the 3:30 wildlife cruise with plenty of time to spare. The pod itself was spotless and equipped with everything we needed for our few nights in Mallaig. Our hosts were excellent and responded to our queries very quickly! A lovely place to stay and would highly recommend!

Small town with some good restaurants but limited entertainment. Worth a couple of nights or longer if using it as a base. Try The Bakehouse and The Crab and Creel. Don't park for more than an hour outside the Co-Op

Mallaig is a small port town with an interesting history. The Mallaig Historical Centre is worth a visit to learn about the story and people behind the town. There are quite a few fabulous cafes and restaurants specialising in fresh fish and home baking. There is a lot of Harry Potter tourists due to the train and viaduct, but this does not distract too much from the enjoyment of a visit.

Mallaig is an active, attractive, village with trains from Fort William and ferries out to the islands and other peninsulas. There are plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants with hotels and B&Bs. The location is stunning with gorgeous views of the beasutiful coast and islands. Lots to do and a fun, friendly place to stay.

We had a wee day in the town with gift shops etc, a trip to Skye the next but would have liked to take more boat trip if we'd been there longer. The shops and things closed quite early and as we had kids with us not sure if there's any "nightlife"

I felt that everyone we came across was out to give us a wonderful holiday. The Bake house is a must . Their Portuguese tarts and pecan/ maple buns are delicious. Coffee 5* The trip to Knydart from Mallaig was enhanced by the crew . They were so knowledgable about the area and shared it with us.

It's hilly, no good for people unable to walk well.

It's hilly, no good for people unable to walk well. I found the hills a bit challenging but of course the scenery is wonderful. It's also only a 45 minute crossing by ferry to reach the Isle of Skye, such a beautiful place. Also, the food is very good in Mallaig, especially the Crab and Creel - would definitely recommend their scallops, wonderful!

Perfect in every way! The pod had everything we needed; it was clean and comfortable; and the location was ideal. A view across the sea to Rum and Eigg, and a short walk to the shops, bars and restaurants in Mallaig. The hosts were lovely, too, and check in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Oh, and it's great value for money!

Mallaig isn't big and it's more like a hub for people catching the ferry to Skye and the Outer Hebrides. The Cornerstone has two rooms and a common space. The place is clean and I particularly loved the room we had because it felt cozy, even if it wasn't big. Our host Sharon is lovely and they run also the restaurant by the same name.
