I was changing the channel on the TV as no remote in the room and 2 black men walked in using our code, we heard them say our code 1570* whilst typing it in. How can it be the same for all rooms? My husband is so mad we left the property. We were in room 7 the 2 men laughed at us then went in to room 5 with same code. I was half naked wearing my lingerie. I am so upset and traumatized. No response from owner about this. My husband is so mad with the severe breakdown in protocols. No offer of recompense for what we endured. We have to drive 2 1/2 hours home at 1240am. As well as dealing with no light in bathroom, no tea/ coffee facility in room, no remote for TV, wrong room no given and the housekeeper Ralph had no idea we were coming as he was not given our room details. We are utterly discusted with this incident.

There are several local supermarkets within walking distance to buy your own food and drink to take back. Quite a number of indian and chinese takeaways for quick meals. I went to the Greene King pub The Robin Hood for dinner on my second night, which was as expected. It isnt a very busy or noisy area and that was fine for me. I had my own car which made it easier to get around.
