The old fashioned building but with nice contemporary decor in the rooms. Breakfast was very nice and the staff are very attentive with nothing being too much trouble. i arrived very late for my stay ( almost midnight) and the staff were very helpful providing me with arrangements for me to access the hotel and my room after the staff has finished for the night.

    We enjoyed everything the room was spacious with comfy beds with lots of added extras. The location and the food at the hotel was excellent and the spa very relaxing. Would absolutely recommend this beautiful hotel.

    The hotel is in a small village with a shop, a village hall...

    The hotel is in a small village with a shop, a village hall and a very nice little pub that serves great ale. The hotel is not cheap but it delivers in a lot of ways. The food is lovely, both in the bar and the restaurant, the pool is very nice, the rooms and housekeeping are great but above all else it was the staff. They were polite and made time to chat and talk about the area and such. The location, close proximity to Haytor, and Dartmoor in general is a walkers dream. Overall a great place for a short break.

    The room was spacious and well equipment with lots of added extras which was much appreciated. Beds were very comfortable and all staff were lovely. We had an evening meal at the hotel which was delicious. There was also plenty of choice at breakfast.

    The staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. The hotel is 4 star, however the staff there are a lot better than some of the 5 star hotels. I would like to specially thank Cameron, with his very professional and warm manner for serving.
