It's basically a train station, a hotel, a tea room and a few private properties There's an rspb reserve and lookout tower. Peaceful remote setting surrounded by nature. Ideal if you want to get away from it all. The drive to local shops is about 45 minutes so plan ahead. The cottage was warm and cosy. You can arrange trip to Orkney via John O'Groats. An excellent way to see orkney with great commentators who tell you the fascinating history.
