We have stayed in The dog & bear Hotel several times now and we have always enjoyed staying there. Everything is always perfectly in order, the rooms as well as the restaurant. A gluten free diet is no problem for the cook, which we appreciate very much. When we recently stayed in the hotel we arrived very late at night due to unforeseen circumstances and that was no problem either. The personnel is always friendly. We travel to the UK twice a year and hope to stay in the Dog & Bear more often.

    Lovely pub dinner, served in very comfortable surroundings by gorgeous ladies at the Chequers Pub down the road in the village. So attentive to our needs. The menu was good with many specials and the food was locally sourced and prepared fresh daily on site. Had a lovely afternoon/evening - met some lovely locals. Would definitely recommend a visit.
