Carbis bay is lovely and less busy than St Ives.
Carbis bay is lovely and less busy than St Ives. Plenty of restaurants with different choice of food. Tried several and found them great. La casita Spanish tapas -lovely. Gannet Inn the staff so friendly and Sunday lunch very nice. Firehouse St Ives, lovely staff and great food. The beach area in Carbis bay is really beautiful with choice of food available, a really nice bar with stunning views and a coffee shop. It’s very easy to get around if you have a car and there is parking available in several different locations around carbis bay. The local supermarket is very convenient on the main road. Another thing that 'really matters', when visiting this 'part of the World is 'Parking' ( Which can be a real nuisance in Winter ) and total 'hell' in summer...But The Badger Hotel is just a few minutes from the station ( with frequent trains to the centre of St Ives )...But as 'pointed out' by the Hotel, the bus stop is just 'over the road', so we went directly into the centre, in a 'matter of minutes'...( And believe me, it doesn't get better, than that...Guest review byAlanUnited Kingdom

Both were clean, comfortable and quiet. Dawn and Paula at reception are friendly, welcoming and helpful, and they made our stay more enjoyable as we felt at home. The location is good - walking distance from the beautiful St. Ives and its beaches and a short bus ride if you want to avoid walking up the hill on the way back. St Ives and Carbis Bay are both close by and in walking distance (uphill). Tesco is 30 seconds away and a nice Cornish pub just down the road with lovely staff, a decent meal, and nice cornish cider and also allowed dogs. The house is secure with parking and has a ring camera outside. There is also a little garden area over the road, which was nice for our bulldog to explore. Our room was beautiful and spotlessly clean, amazing smell of fresh linen and towels as soon as we walked in the room, the view from our room was spectacular!
