    Kintyre is absolutely gorgeous - so beautiful, unspoilt, rugged and wonderful. Campbeltown used to be a little run-down but it was looking pretty good with lots of independent shops, two distilleries and a busy yacht harbour. Campbeltown is a good base if you need buses and amenities and for shopping in supermarkets.

    Amazing little town. Good food and excellent gift stores. The perfect place to pick up unique, high quality gifts from Scotland. Easily walkable city with beautiful harbour views. Great to get the ferry across from Ireland an stay the night.

    Campbelltown is a lovely small town. Very picturesque.

    Campbelltown is a lovely small town. Very picturesque. Lots of independent shops and eateries. Beautiful walk along the seafront. For the size of the town there's a reasonable amount to do. It's easy to get everywhere on foot within the town center and there's ample free parking.

    We drifted through a couple of times and stopped for coffee, petrol and supplies - didn’t seem much else to encourage us to stay. Has a slightly run down feel about it, which is a shame. We thought there would be more to do and stay for.

    Mainly is to visit Springbank distillery, other than that, there's not much to see at the town. We were hoping to get some live shellfish fresh from the sea, but doesn't seem like available to be sold to consumers directly. They export the langoustines instead of selling local as live.

    Great place to base for golf, walking, fishing or just absolute relaxation. It’s a hidden gem and even the journey here is spectacular with the alps of Arrochar to the crashing waves along the Kintyre peninsula. It’s been my go to place to relax for 40 years with such friendly people and plenty to do if doing is your thing.

    We liked the location, close to Campbeltown but still between the fields, very quiet ( except for some beeeh from the sheep) Nice comfy sofa’s and beautiful view from the downstairs window. Did feel a bit tired an cramped. The sheep added to the country vibe as did the sign “bull in field”. Would have like to be able to look more closely to the castle nearby. It was good value for money compared to other self catering homes in the neighbourhood, good for sightseeing Kintyre area. Loved the haggis nachos at the black sheep inn .

    The apartment is beautiful, clean, spacious and comfy. We felt very relaxed and all the extra attention to amenities available really added to our comfort during our stay. It is very conveniently located in Campbeltown on a quiet street but only 3 minutes walk from the main shops and waterfront. The host was very attentive and responsive to messages. We appreciated that it was pet friendly also. We will definitely book again if we visit Campbeltown again.

    Beautiful accessible room, elegant decor and clean crisp linen. Although appearing slightly short staffed at times, the staff were very helpful and accommodating. Would particularly like to mention Leanna in the restaurant. She never stopped, was totally unflappable, and every request on top of the breakfast or dinner service was met with a smile. The hotel very kindly posted on an item we left behind. Would definitely return.
