Berneray is a small island with beautiful beaches and an abundance of wildlife. Its location is only twenty minutes from the Ferry terminal at Lochmaddy and all the other Isles of North Uist, Benbecula, South Uist and Ersiskay can all be visited within a few hours.Guest review byDenisUnited Kingdom - 10.0

My English is not good enough to describe the beauty of this place. The most impressive thing is the pace of life which reminds me of the times before the smartphone and Internet. Don't get me wrong - you can use both here. The views are remarkable and it's one of the few last places in Scotland where you feel like before the invention of the Route 500 - like a discoverer on a great adventure. The food in the local Bistro is worth every penny and all you need is a bit of luck with the weather. We didn't encounter any midges too (mid-July).
