    I found barking very convenient for traveling into London.the station is right on the high street and it's a short journey into the city.the prices in barking are a lot cheaper than London too and there's plenty of shops and cafes in barking to keep you entertained. All in all I would recommend staying in barking especially if your on a budget.the dreams hotel is cheap and good. Which is only bout 2 mins from train station.plus there's a place at 76 longbridge road where you can stay.lovely ensuite rooms with a shared kitchen which is always clean and tidy.its on the high street bout 3 mins walk to train station.

    This premises should not be listed as a hotel it needs an "s" to read hostel. The room should not be described as standard and should be listed as basic. Nothing looked like the pictures shown on your website and none of the facilities listed were available. The conditions were so bad we left a day early, would have left even earlier if we could have but unfortunately at the time that was not an option. This excuse for a hotel should be removed from your listings if you want to maintain your reputation. We will certainly NOT be using booking .com again if this is the sort of premises that they have to offer. Next time we book a hotel we will dig deeper into the reviews, which we found out after the fact, were mostly negative. The whole place was a joke and, for us, not a very funny one.

    I found the shopping area to be quite busy during the day, but I found it far from central London. At night I didn't feel safe arriving at the hotel. There were a lot of men drinking and using drugs on the streets.

    Staff were willing to help and accommodate us and we requested extra pillows, they got them for us, only downside was the location of our room, it was next to the entrance of the car park, cars would beep and people smoked outside our window.

    we did not stay the area was not very nice. no parking. The key code did not work. Rang the owner and left a message to ring me back, 5 days later still have not had a phone call. they were happy to have my money.

    Barking, although recognised as a deprived area of London,...

    Barking, although recognised as a deprived area of London, is a pleasant working class suburb of London. The streets were clean and during the day I was happy to see that the shops were all used and open for trade. The people were approachable and friendly (although as in most places there are bound to be others that are not). I went to a local cafe and had something to eat and drink, it was surprisingly cheap and good quality. As it was New Years eve, I had to return to the area in the early hours of the morning, however, felt safe doing so, (again just be aware of the surroundings and stay alert, but this would be the same in any area). Overall, I found Barking a lovely down to earth area.

    The apartment is 1 minute from Barking station, but bear in mind that it takes about 40 minutes to get to the centre. The welcome is extraordinary, with welcome notes left everywhere and some welcome gifts. It is an acceptable apartment but could be improved. However, it is fine for a few days, always bearing in mind that you are 40 minutes by tube from the centre and that the neighbourhood does not seem very safe.

    Needed the room for a few nights as there was an event in East London that I wanted to attend. This room was comfortable and had all the facilities I'd expect and needed. Everything was clean, the wifi worked, and the showers were hot. It's an Ibis though, so you know what you pay for.

    The location is very good. Underground just 5 min walk of the hotel. Bus stops in front of it and a big park. Barking area is very catchy and for those who love African & Caribbean food and street markets, this is the area to see.
