We visited out of season so it was quiet, not a great selection of eateries in the evenings, although the pubs that were serving had great food. Local Spar didn't sell any alcoholic drinks so you need to go further afield for this. Nice location for touring the rest of the area as well, easy access to the Giants Causeway and other well known places. Everywhere we went the staff / hosts / owners were very friendly.

Clifftop walk experience at Giants Causeway was excellent. Book ferry over to Rathlin island - remote island but nice for a windy walk! Scenic train ride from Coleraine to Derry - walk around walled city and visit peace bridge. Nice half day or day trip Causeway coastal drive is very pretty

Ballycastle and the surrounding villages have lots to do. Plenty of choice for eating out. We took a drive along the north coast in either direction the views are breathtaking. Lovely places to visit to relax and chill.

Ballycastle has a lovely beach with a super play area for young children. It’s lovely to walk around the harbour and watch the boats come and go and enjoy the local fish and chips. It’s location is perfectly positioned for exploring the surrounding picturesque coastline.

I was brought up in Ballycastle so I admit to being completely biased! Ballycastle is a pleasant small town set between the mountain (Knocklayde) and the sea, with views to Rathlin island and Scotland's Argyll peninsula on a clear day. There are excellent sporting facilities, including a golf course, lawn tennis courts and a bowling green. Water sports are popular as is rock climbing (on Fair Head). Locals have developed an interesting heritage trail showing the history and development of the town. There are a range of cafes and restaurants, many serving locally-caught seafood or local produce. A couple of bars on the seafront have beer gardens at the rear, with occasional music gigs. Parts of Ballycastle are steep, which could be an issue for visitors with mobility problems. Ballycastle is also a great hub for exploring the Causeway Coast, including the Giant's Causeway itself, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge and less well known locations such as Murlough Bay and Cushendun.

Martin is so kind and friendly. He replies to emails quickly. The room and ensuite were great. The breakfast is just the best. Caters for gluten, dairy intolerances and vegans. Only 10 minutes to ballycastle and other restaurants for a meal. Close and easy to explore area. Parking available. Nice and dark, quiet for a good night's rest. Highly recommend.

The accommodation was a charming and welcoming self contained spotlessly clean apartment. It was finished to a very high standard and was close to the centre of Ballycastle itself. Catherine was lovely and we really enjoyed and appreciated the kind gifts and thoughtful extra touches.

A gorgeous cottage with fantastic views but still close to amenities in Ballycastle. Very clean and well equipped accommodation plus lovely touches like sweet pea on the table and shortbread. Would definitely return.
