If this property is available for your dates - book without hesitation. These are memories that will stay with us for life! We went to Senlis during a very busy period - of the good ones, this was the last option. And one of the reviews was a little confusing - about the "toilet in the hallway". Spoiler: it is not! The toilet is in the bathroom of the room, hurray) And with such mixed feelings we got to paradise. The view of the house is stunning even from the driveway. The owner Sebastien is a young friendly man, speaks excellent English, helps with parking and comfortably introduces you to the house, which he and his wife TRULY share with guests. Here are the tables in the garden where you can sit under the linden trees with drinks, here is the kitchen (and umbrellas and even a panama hat for guests at the entrance), here is a luxurious staircase leading us to a luxurious dining room where a hearty delicious French breakfast will be served, here is a living room with antique books, sofas, a fireplace and fantastic views, and one floor above (they even have a special lift for the disabled) - 3 charming rooms. One of which we got. Huge windows with shutters that close with a remote control (yes, yes), an antique table, a fireplace, you want to look at every detail. A very delicately renovated house and room - the stairs do not creak and are covered with lush carpet. The bathroom in the room is very modern and comfortable, but still with the chic of old times. A bathtub on legs and a window into the garden! (they have shower in the next room, too) The views are fantastic. You will not believe your eyes. We walked around the park adjacent to the house several times. And we couldn't even roughly figure out if it ends somewhere ))) It's HUGE! On my husband's birthday, a gorgeous, gentle white cat came to our table under the linden trees. And he let us scratch his sides for the whole tea. The owners are wonderful and very tactful people.

    The historic center of Senslis is amazing.

    The historic center of Senslis is amazing. It can (and has) been used as a movie set for many historical feature films. Tuesday morning the farmers market occupied most of the streets, complementing the many specialty stores selling fromages, charcuteries, and fruits/vegetables. It is not touristic at all, no souvenir shops or postcard stands ... just offers a walk back in history - a true gem.

    Senlis is a nice small relaxing town to visit.

    Senlis is a nice small relaxing town to visit. Near Chantilly and only about 30 minutes from CDG especially if driving and are not planning on going into Paris. we were there over Sunday and Monday so a lot of restaurants are closed. Recommend Chez Nous and Porte Bellon (very nice and open Monday)

    The lodging was clean.

    The lodging was clean. The staff was very friendly and were especially helpful with directions. I spent a day in the town of Senlis exploring the ancient streets and enjoying a nice meal. Senlis is very close to Chateau Chantilly.

    We always end our trips to France with Senlis. The Chinese restaurant (le Nouvel Iris d'Or) there is delicious, and the Cathedral fascinating. We love that they have kept the cobblestone streets in the historic center.

    We stayed one night on a cycling holiday, very comfortable. Wish there had been a kettle. The staff were outstanding, helping us to lock our bikes away safely and opening up again when my husband left a bit of kit behind. They really went out of their way. Please do pass on our thanks. 20 minute walk into Senlis. Were lucky enough to catch the market and bought an incredible picnic.

    A beautiful, medieval city, of which we only scratched the surface. Certainly worth talking a full walking tour around the city...it is simply breathtaking with ancient architecture and fabulous cobbled streets. We ate at a lovely restaurant in the evening, with great food and wine and a buzzing atmosphere...would return to Senlis!

    Amazing place! Convenient check-in/out proces with keybox, very clean, comfy bed and shower, great roof top terrace and all the necessary facilities available (plus some added extras like a bottle of wine from the owner). The town Senlis is also beautiful, which was a pleasant surprise to us as we had only booked the appartment because it was located near Parc Asterix which we wanted to visit. Highly recommended!

    Helene is a lovely host and the studio we stayed in was very nice, with the simple facilities we were expecting. Senlis is a beautiful town and we enjoyed getting to know the history, plus visiting the shops and cafes in the town. It was also very easy to go to Paris for a day by train.
