The is the ideal start and end to a trip to France. No early morning crossings, just a convenient and less busy lunchtime or afternoon crossing, followed by a short drive to Le Wast, a warm welcome and a relaxing evening and superb dinner before setting off the next morning. Beautiful and lovely pet friendly 'home' away from home even tho it was a hotel. We will most definitely stay again as it is only 20+/-minutes to the Chunnel crossing. If you are looking for a hotel convenient to the Calais...
If you are looking for a hotel convenient to the Calais terminals, this is a no brainer: why would you even look at Campanile, Formula 1, Brit Hotel when you could stay in a reasonably priced hotel located in a quiet village? The plus was the quality of the dinner. Better than a Hippopotamus and actually cheaper! My car was in complete security, which is not the case closer to Calais. This is a quiet village location, the drive to Eurotunnel check in took just 35 minutes. The room was clean and comfortable, the dining room was fabulous and all the decor is beautifully in-keeping with the style of the hotel. The food was absolutely AMAZING!! The beautiful garden and sunny terras, made our stay very relaxing. The 3 course meal in the restaurant was more than enough and delicious. Le Wast is a very small village in a beautiful area with many cycle routes. Our room was on the top floor. The bathroom is modern with a good shower. The staff is very friendly.
