La Clusaz is a traditional ski resort with plenty of accommodation and places to eat (although it was often necessary to book ahead in the evening) The town is at a low level and so the runs back to the resort were patchy at this time of year. La Clusaz is a quaint, picturesque French mountain village close to Geneva with several ski lifts and plenty of ski runs. Driving in La Clusaz can get busy during the morning and around 4pm when skiers are leaving the area. Le Freka is a lovely french restaurant serving the traditional favourites such as Raclette and Fondue etc. When we visit again we would avoid the usual change over days (Saturday) as the roads were particulary All in all a great place to ski for all levels.Guest review byMandiUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Pretty village with good shopping, choice of restaurants (both on and off the mountain) and good skiing. Easily accessible up a fairly straight road out of Annecy. Not too busy (except weekends when locals descend). Ski area is good for intermediates although connections between the main ski areas are not great (long blues which are really green and often need some poling). La Clusaz is a beautiful town with fantastic skiing, lots of nice little shops and especially sports outlets. There are many restaurants though these do get booked up long in advance so do some research and email for a booking. The snow was not great this year in March, but that can hardly be held against the town! It was truly ideal for us as bus travellers. The hospitality of the staff was top notch! Always eager to provide answers and inquiring if we needed help. We found the room to be extremely cozy and the bed was superb. We enjoyed a view of ski jump practice from our balcony. The balcony was very pleasant and a nice feature. The hotel breakfast was excellent. Also really liked how the team put on afternoon tea everyday as a treat. The spa was relaxing and a good addition. The ski shop underneath made skiing everyday really easy and the shuttle from the hotel was also great. Would definitely like to stay again. The hotel is ski in and ski out with the ski lockers being adjacent the run. There’s a cosy, relaxing lounge with a log fire and fabulous views of the mountain.
