Hands down and by far the most TO DETAIL stay we have ever experienced during our world travel. This hotel exceeded the expectations from the second we arrived to the valet parking area, to the reception (just at sunset time :)), to the perks (basket, hat, pajamas,treats...) provided as welcome gifts, to the aroma of the whole property. to the tasteful and beautiful decor. The food was great at the restaurant and the view from our secluded table for dinner was super romantic. Personnel and their attire is immaculate. The Laduree ice creams by the pool, the spa, gym,...the knowledgeable Concierge monsieur was super kind and helpful. This place is sooo romantic. It is costly yes, but the go above and beyond to please guests and provide a unique experience,....which lasts to the second we left. On departure they gave us Laduree macaroons for the road, water, wet towels and even personalized with initial luggage letter tags!!!! just amazing....we will recommend to all those romantics looking for the most upscale and pampering experience.....congratulations to the master minds of this hotel !! location is so beautiful and sunsets are glorious to feel the provenzal wind. xoxo

Very charming place, quaint yet modern decor and spacious comfortable rooms. Perfectly located close to all the villages, sites and routes, such as the okra path. The dinner was delicious and the staff incredibly helpful, both for restaurant recommendations for the remaining evenings and excursion ideas.

Absolutely beautiful room, house, staff, breakfast and town. Great location - it is in a gorgeous old, quiet town, close to many other towns. The staff were so welcoming and lovely. The breakfast was exceptional - fresh produce, and delicious. We are planning on coming back.

    Lovely town with a number of great restaurants. September was a good month to travel as the town was not over busy with tourists. From our accommodation it was easy to walk into town, so didn't require to use the car. Parking is limited in the town itself.

    It is a pretty town in a lovely location, but it is overwhelmed with the commercial side of tourism. I enjoyed it, but I think my return to the area would be for the locale rather than the town itself.

    Gordes is very pretty but does get quite busy with visitors.

    Gordes is very pretty but does get quite busy with visitors. Some of the other villages nearby are also lovely and much less crowded - for example Oppede le Vieux, Menerbes and Venasque. The Abbaye de Senanque is well worth a visit - a beautiful old abbey in a lovely location.

    A Beautiful historic hilltop village.

    A Beautiful historic hilltop village. Lots of payed parking available on top. It’s possible to walk up but we decided against it in the heat. The drive up is very scenic. There is lots of cute little shops and Restaurants with different price classes. Lots of tourism in summer!

    If you're planning on driving here with a rental car please...

    If you're planning on driving here with a rental car please be aware that it is extremely busy and the roads are incredibly narrow. My experienced driver was uncomfortable with parallel parking next to a precipitous drop The view that you often see in photos from the lookout near the village is beautiful but what you don't see are the lines of other people waiting to get the same shot. In short, it's incredibly touristy which does take away from the quaint ambiance I was looking for. We also visited Fontaine de Vancleur and found that village to be more manageable in terms of crowds, parking, and driving.

    Thoughtfully and thoroughly appointed - everything you need ! Spotlessly clean and comfy bed. Outside area is private with good seating. Fantastic location with an easy 10 minute walk to beautiful village centre of Gordes as well as super central to all of the Luberon Valley/ Provence area. We were given a warm welcome by Sophia (along with some excellent restaurant and touring recommendations) and a friendly farewell from Olivia - thank you for all your help !!

    Reaching the hotel by car was a bit of a mission, requiring negotiating a long, narrow and winding road leading up to the hilltop town of Gordes, while trying not sideswipe the rental car or run over the hordes of tourists drawn by the same things that brought you to the Luberon. But how else would you have a room with a balcony which offered the most stunning views over the entire valley below and the mountains beyond?

    This house is amazing, with everything you need and more. The swimming pool was heaven on a hot summer day and the beds really comfy. Gordes is the most beautiful town in Provence and we explored the neighborhood and amazing villages around the area. Denis was extremely helpful and kind and all of his tips were spot on!
