The building is so unusual and beautiful, very atmospheric, and although a little more upgrading is needed in places (eg. walls of the main stone staircase) this is clearly in progress. Our room was wonderful - spacious, well equipped, everything about it was top quality and very stylish. And it had amazing views! The restaurant is delightful and our dinner was first class. There is clearly a really good chef, and the waiting staff were friendly, efficient and knowledgable.

The location is idyllic . Beautiful and tranquil. Staff are charming and very considerate. We had one stop with two dogs travelling to Spain. Next time we will stay longer .

Really beautiful old house with a very comfortable bed, all what you need after driving all day. Staff were super kind and, even though we arrived when the kitchen was already closed, prepared a delicious dinner for us. We really appreciated it!

    I would have been more comfortable with a sleeping bag in my...

    I would have been more comfortable with a sleeping bag in my car although I had a bed it was a building site without communal lighting no access to food or amenities and no heating bed was cold and damp worst stay ever however no where else close to stop on mountain road options were limited and owner did answer phone to give code for access i pair hotel with the film the shining!!!

    The property has no reception just a lady in one of the rooms who you have to ring out for service Rooms are off of a dingy Passageway open to all and sundry at all hours which means you do not feel secure No available breakfast, The place is run down and not very nice place to visit. It is cheap but not much cheaper than the hotel which we stayed in the Loire Valley, the hotel is adequate but should be avoided due to the security element. Pool looked rank and a Large German shepherd Dog roamed free menacingly

    Definitely the location on a river with the majestic Eiffel viaduct towering above. Free parking. Ensuite facilities. There was a lift. When this hotel is refurbished it will be a gem.
