This Chateau is in a particularly beautiful place, very near to Chenonceau, which we also enjoyed. We had been here on our honeymoon 33 years before and we came back!! It was just as romantic and special. The restaurant in the chateau was fabulous, but very little in terms of food in Chissay in general, apart from the local patisserie, where we met a charming chap from Tunisia, (I think), who gave us his croissants at the end of the day as a packed lunch as it would only go off!!! Fairy tale like place. We also had our dog with us from UK and there was a very helpful and friendly vet, who helped us with our medication prior to returning to the UK for our dog. There's a variety of unique rooms to choose from. We chose to stay near the pool as we had our dog with us but all other rooms looked delightful. The staff were friendly, efficient and approachable. The bar area in the courtyard overlooking the pool was so tastefully done. We ate at the hotel on one of our two nights. The food was exquisite with time afforded to each course. I'd also recommend the breakfast which provided so many options in a wonderful setting. The pool area was an added bonus to a highly attractive venue.Guest review byClarabella66United Kingdom

It had a fabulous slightly old fashioned atmosphere. Where you felt the staff really cared. The bedroom was amazing with an incredibly comfortable (and huge) bed, with excellent views over the gardens. The swimming pool was excellent slightly warmed so not as to shock. The hotel’s restaurant was delicious, although the menu limited and not suitable for vegetarians.
