It's not the most historically picturesque of the many competing seaside locations in the south of France but that probably makes it a little less crowded and it is very pleasant with attractive bays offering a lively port, pretty beaches and places to explore plus all the usual shopping and eating facilities. It is a great place if you want a relaxing, seaside holiday. Very good food, lots of beautiful beaches, lovely boutiques and fun water sports. Easy access to similar villages such as Le Castellet, Cassis and Sanary sur mer which are worth a visit. Very clean place and good street signage. There are lovely beaches, it has a lively nightlife and good selection of stalls at the evening market. There are a wide variety of popular restaurants. Very pleasant seaside town with lots of bars and restaurants, beaches, boat trips, paddle boarding, etc. Local wines are excellent, market was busy and interesting. Much nicer than we had expected. We loved the relaxed unpretentious charm of the place. The hotel has an interesting history and we liked the 1970s decor and features. Renecros Beach is only across the road and the back door is kept open for easy access to and from the beach. The parking onsite is very handy, especially in high season. Silvy is a wonderful co-host and she really made me feel welcome -- she even met me with the keys at 8.30 on a Saturday night and also took me to the train station when I returned back to the UK.
