The landscape around is beautiful and varied.
The landscape around is beautiful and varied. The town has everything you need. To make the most of it do visit the really helpful woman in Tourist Information (closed Mondays and Tuesdays). The historical tour is well worth doing and you get to see inside places that are not otherwise open. The more you explore, the more you appreciate the detail of your surroundings. Alhama de Granada's old town is lovely but some areas have become a bit run down since our last visit 8 years ago. It may not be suitable for people with mobility issues. The gorge is stunning and there are some great walks. The Balneario Alhama De Granada with its spa and hot springs is a 5-minute drive or 20-minute walk. The beautiful Los Bermejales Reservoir is a 20-minute drive but well worth a visit.Guest review byGrahamSpain - 8.0

She waited for us to arrive quite late - nothing was too much trouble to make our stay great. The Alhama room is spacious and private with a fabulous vista of the rio and church,. It's quiet and peaceful with only the sounds of whistling swifts and chimes of the historic church bells. It was great to have a small kitchen to make morning coffee too.
