    An lovely and interesting old town, well worth a visit.

    An lovely and interesting old town, well worth a visit. It has connections by rail to Kassel for Willhelmshohe and to other towns in the area. We particularly enjoyed Allendorf, another lovely old town, which appeared to have only 'fachwerk' houses, and also a church with a great cafe and beautiful garden.

    We stopped there by chance and were pleasantly surprised by this small city. The old town is extremely beautiful and appears to be almost free of tourists. Definitively worth a detour, if not a trip for itself.

    This pretty and quaint old town at the confluence of two rivers forming the third and with more than 450 beautiful half-timbered houses is one of the prettiest small towns in Germany that I have been to, both in terms of natural beauty and in terms of the old city. The old part of town is small enough to be easily done by foot. There is something for everyone in the city -- for nature lovers -- hills and rivers, for history lovers, for architecture lovers with the very imposing Rathaus (Town Hall) and for those in searach of stories there is Dr. Eisenbart. Do visit the place....you will not regret it.

    A nice place to drop off the Motorway.

    A nice place to drop off the Motorway. Its an old and original looking town with lots to look at and nice to walk around. We have visited before and feel now that there are too many tourist shops all fighting for trade. This could be a sign of the times but it is our opinion is spoiling the town.

    Absolutely delightful. The hotel is well situated in the old town. The room was absolutely delightful, clean spacious and well presented. The staff were excellent, informative and willing to assist. In fact they went out of their way to help. The breakfast spread was also brilliant, well presented with lots of options with everything being fresh inclusive of the free range eggs. We will definitely be going back should we be heading that way again. 5 star rating in my assessment.

    The owners who live in the flat below are welcoming and helpful. The Ferien Wohnung was spacious and comfortable and generally well equipped. There are lovely views out towards Hannoversch Munden and over the garden. It's near the river and there is a pleasant walk to the town (about 15 minutes) by the river which avoids going along the main road.

    not far far from the motorway. There was someone at reception when we arrived who received us in a pleasant manner. Beds in our room were comfortable. Hotel within easy walking distance of the old town which we were able to have a quick look around before finding somewhere to eat. T he town has a very picturesque centre.

    Beautiful, well-maintained old-fashioned German-style hotel, which is perfect for an overnight stay as it is close to the motorway (one does not really notice the noise). The staff is super friendly, the beds very comfy and everything was clean. Wifi worked as it should and the nice breakfast was a big plus.
