We could not get in. But we loved the hotel down the road! Hotel Muller was great value and apparently takes in guests booked into Anker when the owner decides to give the room to others despite clear telephone calls from/to me when a train was cancelled. Agreed by mein Host we could arrive any time for room 6. So we went for a meal by Hotel Muller. At 1015 pm no.key but a pair of boots outside our room. Learnt this establishment has recently been taken over, and hence the lack of recent reviews. AVOID or bring a tent, just in case.

Had a lovely time. The hotel was ideally located for cycling excursions along the Elbe and in the countryside, there was a safe enclosure off the courtyard where I could safely lock up my bike, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Terrific Italian restaurant next door, an Aldi close by for stocking up on provisions.

I got the big room (one single bed, one double bed). It was clean and comfortable for a 2 week stay. I liked that there was a microwave, fridge, washing machine and a small kitchenette. Couldn’t really communicate with the hotel owner because he could only speak German, but nevertheless he tried to help me whenever needed.

I like the staff, they were extremely nice and friendly. The hotel was located in a remote place where you can find a lot of peace and quiet. In front of the hotel there is a farm with horses, I enjoyed watching them. The place was a nice spot for hiking, walking and other outdoorsy activities.

Best hotel In town. Clean. Large room. Very nice and helpfull owner. Recommend.
