Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Pool and Sauna were great. Breakfast and dinner had everything on offer that one could wish for. We got around by public transport which doesn't operate super often but if you plan ahead it is easy.

found myself in the area one day earlier than expected so i was scrambling for some place to sleep and found this gem. located in a lovely mountain valley you get to fall asleep to a sound of a stream in a comfy bed. the checkin is done via a kiosk and it is fairly intuitive as i did not need to resort to using the AI assistant or the emergency phone number (would not want to wake anyone up at the hour i arrived anyway). a cherry on top is a 24/7 self service restaurant where you can get basic refreshments. ran into some staff at breakfast and everyone was friendly. 10/10 would stay again

Location is great and the buffet for dinner and breakfast was good quality. Very accommodating of our bobsleigh team to provide us with a garage to store our equipment and sleds.

we stayed at this place for one night, but should have booked for more since we liked the place and the mountain air did wonders for my sons asthma. the room equipment is not brand new, but since it is clean and comfy, it does not really matter. we explored the nature around the hotel (ate a lot of blueberries and wild strawberries) and visited the nearby zoo and the family park in Altenberg. i also recommend visiting the bobsleigh track at the end of the valley- it is very interesting to see. the hotel restaurant feels funky at first (you need to order via a kiosk) but the staff were super friendly and the food was great too. we'll consider this for a longer stay the next time an opportunity comes as the sauna and whirlpool looked tempting too.

    Geising is a quiet, pretty little town but with plent of...

    Geising is a quiet, pretty little town but with plent of facilities in the Ore Mountains. Lots of walks, a handful of good places to eat and drink, an olympic size ice rink, a sports hall and a bowling alley. Friendly locals, plenty of places of interest to visit within an easy drive. Dresden is 30 minutes away, Prague is an hour. We were there in deep snow and for the Christmas market. It was beautiful.
