    It might be a hotel but it gives you the feeling of a warm and cozy cabin in the mountains. It might not be the hotel with the most modern amenities but "if it ain't broke don't fix it". This was truly the best hotel experience I have had as a tourist. I would also highly recommend the hotel restaurant, in my opinion it has the best schnitzel in the entire Germany! Fair warning, though there is pretty much nobody who speaks English you can get pretty far with just pointing and saying please

    The room and hotel were spotless. Everything looks brand new while it has been renovated with a charming, cozy cottage look. We booked a family room and it was very spacious. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast is buffet style while dinner portions are very generous. The staff was nice and helpful. The room had a balcony overlooking the fields with cows grazing and ducks roaming by.

    The hotel is in the centre of a small village. It is easily reachable by car, and parking is not an issue. The village is in a convenient position to drive to other interesting locations in the Schwarzwald. There is a restaurant in the hotel which serves German dishes, and the quality is good. If you look for an old style place with friendly staff, this is for you.

    The hotel is in an excellent location sat alongside the B500 if you want to tour the Black Forest, we only stayed for the one night passing through, the rooms were clean and bright, the decor throughout the hotel is quite funky too, the restaurant was good and breakfast in the morning was ample too.
