FAQs about hotels in Frankfurt/Main

The Beating Heart of Europe

Located near central Germany, Frankfurt is not simply the beating heart of the country. It’s also the lifeblood of the European Union.

The German Federal Bank and the European Central Bank are based here, so naturally this is a city where commerce thrives. In fact, the skyline is so punctuated by skyscrapers that Frankfurt is affectionately known as Mainhattan, a pun on the River Main that slowly meanders through the city.

Lining its banks is Museumsufer, a district comprising over 20 museums including Goethe’s birthplace and the Frankfurt Historical Museum. Impressive views of all of this can be enjoyed from the tower of Gothic-style Frankfurt Cathedral which played an important role in the Holy Roman Empire.

In the shadow of the modernist architecture remain traces of quintessential Germany. The reconstructed half-timbered facades in Römer square are picture perfect, and the cobbled streets of Fressgass are always full of locals deciding which café to dine at.

Served by Frankfurt Airport - one of the world’s busiest - this pumping city is always on the move. This means that hotels in Frankfurt gets booked up pretty quickly, so book early with Booking.com to secure the accommodation of your choice.

This was a two day stopover. Hotel is in nice area of town and U Bahn stations an easy walk. Restaurant next door looked great but didn't have enough time. Head down to the river for some great sights. Transport good. Easy train trip from the airport, 15 mins into central then change to U4 line for two stops.

The city was beautiful with a very good sense of the old mixed with new. Well worth visiting. This was my second time to visit. Frankfurt is also excellently located to access the Rail Network, We visited by train Köln (Cologne), Heidelberg and Idsteiner always returning to Frankfurt. The locals were always very helpful in explaining or translating. The shopping is excellent

Frankfurt is ideal for travelers seeking a cosmopolitan city with strong cultural offerings, excellent connectivity, and a mix of modern and historic charm. However, tourists looking for a purely traditional German experience may find it less atmospheric, and caution is advised around the main station area, especially at night.

Excellent location, close to Frankfurt old town. Very modern look to the hotel but at the same time maintaining a warm and friendly ambience. We arrived in Frankfurt by train and the hotel is only a 15 minute walk away from the station, albeit that it appears you have detoured via a different part of the world.

The hotel was perfect for our needs. Supermarket and cafe right outside the front door. Local main train station Frankfurt Sud about 15 min walk to the hotel. It’s a little bit out of the city centre. A 15 -20 minute walk to the local bars and another 15 into the city centre.
