My recent stay at this property was extremely disappointing and far from what was advertised on Booking.com. The listing is highly misleading—it claims to offer amenities like a pool and a gym, but in reality, the pool is closed, and the gym is only accessible to members with a fob, not hotel guests.
Additionally, guests who visit the gym frequently park around the cabins, blocking access and creating constant disturbances throughout the day. The room conditions were appalling—they were unclean, smelled strongly of mold, and had dated, cramped bathrooms. The beds were in such poor condition—sunken and uncomfortable—that getting a decent night's sleep was impossible.
To make matters worse, the surrounding area lacks basic amenities. There are no nearby coffee shops or restaurants, and finding one feels like a stroke of luck. As for the beach mentioned in the ad—it’s completely unmaintained and not suitable for any recreational activity.
Overall, this experience was far below expectations, and I would not recommend this property to anyone seeking a relaxing or enjoyable stay.

Sundridge is a quaint sleepy town about halfway between the (larger) Huntsville and (much larger) North Bay. You have a great pizza joint plus a couple of decent restaurants. The Caswell Inn has cabins, small apartments, or rooms right on Bernard Lake, which is in view from everywhere. If you need a stopover or a couple days of real quiet (to read or catchup on your Netflix films), this is a nice pit stop. Unlike a bigger town (North Bay, Lindsay, Peterborough), it lacks the other stuff (cinemas or drive-ins, multiple sites of touristy interest) that could occupy you for several days. Bear in mind the population (1000)--not 40,000+ like the others.
