Hanna is chock full of great folks, all doing what they do on the daily, also full of transient workers doing what they do.
If it wasn't for the NDP and Liberals who prematurely shuttered the coal portion of the power gen and put a lot of people out of work, it would be better economically speaking.
Oh also, Hanna is home to Nickleback in case you didn't know.

Great spot to recharge and relax.
Great spot to recharge and relax. Lots of birds on the lake, a deer walked by, the owner’s friendly dogs came to visit, we kayaked in the lake. (Kayak not supplied). The town of Hanna is 5 minutes away for groceries or restaurants, Drumheller is 30 minutes away for a day trip. Lovely peaceful spot.

The town of Hanna is a short car ride away if you’re looking for any essentials or a place to dine out. The location is definitely away from other people. The highway is plenty far away to make any traffic noise even noticeable.
For birders, the Prairie Oasis Park is a must visit (20+ minutes south near Sheerness Power Plant) to catch spring migrants in mid May. Enjoy.
There are a number of ‘hotspots’ around Hanna for finding birds.

We chose this location on purpose given it's relatively close proximity to a number of sites of interest to us:, Hand Hills PP, Rumsey Eco Reserve, Romley Ghost Town, Dry Island Buffalo Jump PP and of course all that the area around Drumheller and Wayne Alberta have to offer.

Hanna is a working folk town. A lot of people there for many economic reasons, work being the biggest one. What I find is that people for some reason think it's okay at 1am to walk heavy, talk loudly and slam doors like they own the house.
You really find out about people when you go to the smaller centres, folks that live in the region - awesome! Folks that go there for work that really don't want to be there for work (you know who you are), are not so awesome.

Like advertised, beautiful prairie location. Quiet, scenic, an awesome place to go if you want to relax and get away from the busy cities. Hanna has lots of history and offers lots to see, eat, friendly people. A real gem.
