    Very beautiful area with cool and friendly locals. Stunning and very lush nature with lots of waterfalls, rivers, and natural pools to swim in. Very lovely town with lots of restaurants, coffee shops and nice local shops to choose from.

    Alto Paraiso is one of the wonders of vthe natural world.

    Alto Paraiso is one of the wonders of vthe natural world. An easy 3 hour drive from Brasilia, It is the gateway to the Chapada Dos Veiadeiros National Park. The variety of trails and waterfalls is dizzying. The locals claim to regularly see alien craft whizzing through the sky here and the Green Alien is the symbol of the town. The locals are super friendly and helpful. People who live here seem to really love the life they have here

    Great place for nature hikes, beautiful waterfalls and tranquility. Anyone who is looking for moderate hikes and lots of nature will love this place. Many different types of waterfalls with swimming pools to choose from for each day of the trip. Lots of good restaurants in town center to choose from as well. Recommend staying at Estancia Jacy at Alto Paraiso. You won't regret it. Need a good car (Jeep recommended) to maneuver the dirt roads once you get off the main roads to access the parking lots to the waterfalls.

    Expensive place but very beautiful.

    Expensive place but very beautiful. For your average Brazilian, it isn't cheap at all but can be done at more reasonable costs if you are willing to prepare your own meals or eat simply. Waterfalls and such cost 30-40 reais per person so be sure which ones you want to visit.

    Alto Paraíso is a nice small and laid back city.

    Alto Paraíso is a nice small and laid back city. The center is pretty limited outside the restaurants on the main street. The other streets are pretty residential. If you are lucky you can spot toucans flying over you... and plenty of blue araras. It feels amazing. As for food, are plenty of vegetarian option as well as some vegan options as well. We loved the buffet at Alquimia. Cravo e Canela is so à good option... It is highly recommended to rent a car in Brasília to be more independent and explore all the wonderful cachoeiras in thr surroundings In the dry season you don't need a 4x4. A simple city car is enough.

    Highly recommend this stay. Close to interstate bus stop, comfy room with clean and big bathroom and a kitchen with everything to make a 5 course meal. The small details of this accomodation made our stay to be very enjoyable and comfortable with an easy late check in method. Great communication from the owner Sergio who is a great man who also showed us around Chapada as our guide. He further helped us after we left Alto Peraiso De Goias through sending money to people for us as we weren’t able to. Couldn’t recommend this stay enough.

    The hotel is beautiful, from the room itself, to the pool and dining area. We loved the bed, it was so comfy and the shower was clean and a great temperature. The same can be said about the pool, which we enjoyed during the evening. To top it all off, the breakfast was truly delicious and the staff did everything they could to make us comfortable!

    Ashram far exceeded our expectations! It was our first time in Alto Paraíso and Eduardo was an incredible host, making us feel welcome even before we arrived and helping us with everything we needed while we were there (connecting us with guides and suggesting great experiences). The facilities were extremely comfortable and clean.
