Very quiet small town, could be crowded during the tourist...
Very quiet small town, could be crowded during the tourist season. Good starding point to visit Hautes-Fagnes: many good walking (cycling) trails in nice moor open landscape. Car is appreciated to come to starting points. By the way you cana visit the highest point of Belgium (Signal de Botrange - 694 m). The lake and nature are great for picturesque walks. We went off-season so there's was like nobody around us. All you could hear was birds! The 10km walk around the lake is well worth it. Nice views and cozy stops. Take a picnic with you because there's as good as nothing around to eat /drink. The little town itself during off-season is very quiet.
