Molt bona experiència al Man Eaters, el millor allotjament del nostre viatge a Kenia. Vam arribar al migdia i hi havia elefants al riu bevent aigua, a sota la piscina, vam tenir una càlida benvinguda amb begudes fresques, feia molta calor. La tenda és molt àmplia i completa i ben equipada amb tot el que puguis necessitar, tot i que de dia fa calor a la nit passa aire i s'està molt bé. El bany també està molt bé, en espais separats que fa que sigui més pràctic. La piscina estava molt neta i amb aigua fresca però no excessivament, vam gaudir d'un bon bany al costat del riu, on venen a beure tot tipus d'animals, nosaltres vam veure elefants, monos i hipopòtams. Òbviament la piscina i tot el recinte és segur, de nit hi ha guardies que vigilen per si venen animals. A més hi ha un museu on s'explica la història dels lleons menjadors d'homes i la construcció del traçat del tren de Nairobi a Mombasa, és interessant. El menjar també va ser tot molt bo i variat, vam fer mitja pensió. Hi tornariem, és un lodge molt ben ubicat entre els dos parcs Tsavo Est i Oest (literalment a 5 minuts de l'entrada Tsavo Gate de Tsavo Oest), amb fàcil accés des de la carretera de Nairobi a Mombasa i a un preu raonable comparat amb altres lodge de dins els parcs. A més durant la nostra estada no hi havia gaires més persones allotjades i tot plegat va ser molt comfortable.

Located at Kilifi Creek, just 3 km outside of town and surrounded by a community forest, Distant Relatives Ecolodge and Backpackers features a secluded beach area, a restaurant and outdoor pool. Beautiful space - literally could not ask for a better area to hang out in. Everything is very clean, the entire staff are wonderful and the common areas make for a great place to hang out. Location is great - super short walk to the beach, bodas available to go anywhere. Even the dorms are lovely, with large comfortable beds. I intended to stay for 2 nights and stayed for 5.
