It costs around $25 for a round-trip taxi to the town, but being slightly removed means you get to enjoy a peaceful, almost private stretch of beach with breathtaking views. The hotel itself is quite small—fewer than 20 rooms—which makes it feel intimate and personal. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, and the staff are truly exceptional. Every single person went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome and well cared for. If you’re looking for a quiet, scenic escape with outstanding hospitality, this place is a hidden gem!

The views are breathtaking, and the hotel is just a few minutes’ walk from the turtle aquarium. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, definitely worth mentioning! The design of the hotel is also incredibly charming. Both the interior and exterior are beautifully crafted, with many wooden elements made by local carpenters using wood from traditional dhows (boats), giving the place a unique and authentic feel. As a bonus, guests have free access to the pool at the sister property, African Bungalows, which was a lovely perk. If I could give more than 10 points, I absolutely would.
