Situated in Ölfus, 48 km from The Pearl, Hotel Kvika features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a bar. The hotel is located in a beautiful, scenic area. We arrived late, but the letter and room key were waiting for us at the reception. The hotel has many cozy seating areas and good Wi-Fi. Outside, there is a sauna and hot tubs – it was a wonderful opportunity to relax. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful.

El Loa’s Nest està situat a Hella i ofereix un jardí. L’allotjament gaudeix d’un saló compartit i una terrassa. També podreu gaudir de vistes a les muntanyes. Les habitacions inclouen un escriptori. Tot! Allotjament molt confortable, amb tot el que puguis necessitar. Vam passar-hi la nostra primera nit a Islàndia! Cuina ben equipada que pots fer servir quan vulguis. I al matí la propietària et fa uns gofres boníssims! :) També ens va passar un mapa per Whatsapp amb punts d'interès del país que ens va anar molt bé. Els seus fills també molt amables :) Si torno a Islàndia hi tornaré!

Welcome to Aurora Lodge Hotel, where adventure awaits! Our complex of 8 charming buildings sits right on the banks of the East Rangá River, just a stone's throw from the Icelandic Route 1 (Ring Road)... Great location. We chose it as it was fairly central to places we wished to visit along the south coast and it looked like it would be a dark area during the night for viewing the aurora. Rooms were part of individual lodges with the restaurant/reception/breakfast being in a central lodge. Rooms were spacious and clean with coffee machines. Breakfast and restaurant served very nice food. Staff were exceptionally nice and chef was helpful making sure we were safe regarding allergies. Would he happy to visit again next time we are in Iceland.

The family-owned Hótel Lækur is set on an Icelandic horse farm, between the Golden Circle and the south coast. Hella is 10 minutes’ drive away. It offers a sun terrace and a guest lounge. Superb location, away from all the lights, roads and noise. Staff is super friendly and helpful Food in general, dinner and breakfast, was very nice and regional - which we appreciate a lot. The rooms are super cosy, spacious and clean. It offers everything you need. We would and will book again when back in Iceland, and we will recommend it to friends, since we really experienced a great time there!

This family-run property is 400 metres off Route 1 and 15 km from Selfoss. It offers free Wi-Fi and a terrace. Homemade bread, jam and pastries are served for breakfast. We had a great stay at the guesthouse on top of the hill. The location is great next to the cross roads of Golden Circle and the road to south coast. The facilities were in really great shape and the rooms were comfy and clean.
