The rooms come with a flat-screen TV. Some units include a seating area where you can relax. Certain units feature views of the mountains or garden. Victorian House features free WiFi . The staff was very friendly. He helped us to take the luggage to upstairs. The breakfast is delicious.

In beautiful Lakeland surroundings overlooking an idyllic brook, Glencree is situated between the villages of Bowness and Windermere. With free parking and free Wi-Fi, it serves hearty breakfasts cooked to order. Guests can swim in the property's off-site pool. Our stay at Glencree absolutely exceeded our expectations! The room was gorgeous, very modern and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious, with a selection of cereals to choose from, fresh fruit and breakfast cooked to order. Great location, and lots of parking in the church across the road if the guest spots are taken. Would highly recommend Glencree to anyone looking for a stay in Windermere.

The surrounding National Park offers plenty of scenic routes for walking and cycling, and Ambleside is a 10-minute drive away. Windermere Rail Station is a 5-minute drive from the building. There is free parking and secure bike lock up on site. Spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were absolutely amazing and they catered for both vegan and gluten intolerance. The linen was great and all facilities were clean and new. The hosts were friendly and always available. I recommend that anyone that stays there goes to the Windmill Inn only 100m down the road for a meal. Lovely garden and next to a petrol station and shop if you need to buy any basics.

The Highfield is in Keswick, in a quiet location among other hotels and homes. Keswick town centre is just a few minutes' walk away, where guests can find the popular Theatre by the Lake. I had a lovely stay at this hotel. The room was clean, cosy and had everything I needed. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The location is perfect — close to shops, restaurants and public transport, yet quiet at night. Breakfast was fresh and varied. A pleasant, comfortable hotel with a warm atmosphere. I’d happily stay again.

The family-run Ambleside Townhouse is situated in Ambleside, 800 metres from Lake Windermere. It offers en suite rooms and a full English breakfast in the morning.

Each stylish room has fresh light décor. Nice staff, great breakfast, cozy rooms, a perfect location for exploring the Lakes. Happy to be there again.

Built as a private house in 1914, the hotel has hosted King George V and other members of the royal family. Many of the rooms and public areas retain elements of Edwardian luxury, including high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows. Was nice but with limited options. Still it was manageable.

A 5-minute drive from Bassenthwaite Lake, Ravenstone Manor is an 19th-century manor house set in 3 hectares of ground. The property is at the foot of Skiddaw, overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake. It offers stone walls and en suite bathrooms. Absolutely everything, the professionalism of the staff, the amazing scenic view from the room (number 1 and number 3 as we decided to stay an extra night), the amazing bed. They were also very accommodating with our dog, and the dog walk around the hotel is marvellous! The restaurant food was also really great! And so was the breakfast! Thank you
