Located within 1.5 km of General Pablo Rojas Stadium and 1.4 km of Fundación Universitaria Iberoamericana, Lola’s home provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Asuncion. The hosts were always available and helpful, both in person and through WhatsApp. I was travelling alone and needed some help finding things to do and they shared a list of places to go and directions. The apartment was very clean, had many amenities, and was a home away from home. Overall, I felt very safe as a single female traveller.

Featuring quiet street views, Hostal Mi lugar Vintage offers accommodation with patio, around 2 km from General Pablo Rojas Stadium. This was my favorite place on the whole trip around South America. It's wonderfully decorated, homely, quiet and comfortable. They really looked after me and I felt at home. A little bit out of the city centre, but that's probably a good thing anyway! A mini market just across the street was really handy!

Located in the city centre, next to the restaurants and commercial area, Villa Floreal Hotel Boutique features an outdoor swimming pool, meeting facilities and BBQ facilities in Asuncion. Location is unbeatable - in a great (and safe) part of town, yet very quiet, with several good pizza places and cafe/restaurants within 5 minutes walk. Having the pool (literally) outside your door is obviously fantastic! Breakfast included a very wide selection: omelette or scrambled eggs, and the usual selection of toast, ham, cheese, fresh fruit cocktail, croissants and other cakes, and water, juice, tea and coffee. Our room, No. 4, was very large (King bed), comfortable with a great shower, and also had a small kitchenette with a microwave and a mini-bar stocked with beer and water. Although we didn't use them, the hotel had a small bar, a small gym and two beautiful sittings rooms, full of art and the owners antiques and memorabilia, obviously collected over many years.
