It was the most beautiful area with warm lodging accommodations. Don’t forget to check out the back area, makes for a wonderful evening.

Alpaca Farm And B&B - Mama Adama está ubicado en Grândola y ofrece alojamiento con vistas a la montaña, una pileta al aire libre, un jardín, una terraza y un bar. We had a fantastic stay at this alpaca farm. The place is beautiful and super relaxing, perfect for unwinding in nature. The hosts were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always available to help. A big plus was the delicious breakfast and the lovely pool, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The highlight, of course, was being able to pet and feed the alpacas – such a unique and memorable experience! Highly recommended.

Alentejo Cante & Vinho está ubicado en Ferreira do Alentejo y tiene una pileta al aire libre, jardín, salón compartido y terraza. Nice, spacious terrace and room with a kitchen outside; the TV is also of a good size and high up on the wall; and the staff are really kind. We forgot a pair of glasses and the owner promptly mailed it to us and refused to charge us for it. Great experience! P.S.: if you like homemade food, a family and rustic place, check out restaurant Tapinha.

Very nicely furnished and bright room and a modern bathroom. The host was also very friendly and she even had cake and coffee for us when we arrived.

The hotel itself is like a step back in time, with each room styled uniquely to reflect the charm of a traditional Portuguese home. It’s full of character but still manages to be incredibly comfortable and inviting. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Gonçalo, the General Manager. He showed us around and shared the hotel’s history, which added so much depth to our stay. He was friendly, approachable, and clearly passionate about the place, which really set the tone for the entire experience. The hotel’s atmosphere is incredibly peaceful, and the pool area, though small, is beautifully designed - a perfect spot to relax and take in the serene surroundings. But let’s talk about the food - because it was the absolute highlight of our stay. Trust me, as someone who’s a serious foodie and has eaten at countless restaurants, this is not a compliment I give lightly: it was the best food I’ve ever had. The head chef is not just talented but also incredibly warm and passionate. Each dish was a masterpiece, rooted in traditional Portuguese flavors, and the chef took the time to explain the story behind each one. We even had a great chat and discovered he’s a Manchester fan (great taste!) Every bite was an experience, and the meals are something we’ll be dreaming about for years to come. Casa Az-Zagal is a truly special place. From the welcoming staff to the peaceful setting and the unforgettable food, it’s a stay we’ll always remember. If you’re looking for somewhere that feels both authentic and luxurious, this is it - you won’t regret it!
