Amberlea Cottages proved to be one of the best and cleanest accommodations we encountered during our road trip in the South Island. The hosts were exceptionally friendly. All accommodation features satellite TV and electric blankets. Quiet place near to the seal colony. Lovely house with great courtyard. Heater is nice. We only stay one night here. If we have more time, we will definitely stay longer.

Some apartments feature a spa bath. We loved our stay here. We used it as a base to hike Abel Tasman. We forgot out jackets here and the staff had it curriered to our next place and it arrived there when we got there. Loved the washer and dryer in the suite small kitchen and perfect location. Easy walk to town centre.
