The apartment is spacious, quiet and 2 minutes walk to supermarkets and restaurants. The wifi is good and there is Netflix. It’s in a nice neighbourhood with a local feel to it. As such, restaurants are very reasonably priced as they are not tourist traps. Above all, the couple that runs the apartment, Sandra and Ricardo, are so caring and attentive to any need or question you might have. They are wonderful, charming hosts! I would definitely return.

The place is cosy, spotless, and thoughtfully arranged, making it feel like a real home away from home. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised with a very generous welcoming package including juice, wine, beer, and water — such a kind touch that immediately set the tone for the stay. The atmosphere throughout the property is wonderful, and breakfast was truly excellent. The staff are incredibly kind, and the manager goes above and beyond to make sure every guest feels comfortable and cared for. What makes Casa Alegria even more special is that by staying here, you’re also supporting a meaningful cause that empowers women — a detail that really adds value to the whole experience. They were also very understanding and flexible with our late flight, kindly allowing us to stay longer so we could relax before heading to the airport. All in all, it was an amazing experience and I can’t recommend Casa Alegria enough!

Die Besitzerin finanziert ein Projekt das kapverdische Kinder unterstützt.

Die Unterkunft war für mich ideal für Praia kennen zu lernen und meinen weiteren Schritte auf der Insel zu organisieren. Idil ist sehr nette Dame. Sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Schon bei der Buchung hat sie mir Kontakte für Mietwagen geschickt. Auch mit wenigen Englischkenntnisse haben wir uns verstanden. Wegen verpassten Flug sehr spät angekommen, trotzdem hat Taxi von Idil auf mich gewartet und in Ordnung zur Unterkunft gebracht. Dafür herzlichen Dank! Wohnung war sicher, gut eingerichtet mit allem , was man braucht, sauber und ruhig (nur Wochenende einfach die Fenster und Türe zumachen). Auf dem Plateau war mehr Lärm. Ich empfehle herzlich diese Wohnung.

Super spacious and nicely decorated. The room was amazing but the family who owns the property made the stay even better. They are super kind and accommodating, would definitely stay with them again.

Gelegen in Ribeira da Prata, in der Region Santiago, hat die Unterkunft Casa Chiquinha eine Terrasse und Stadtblick. Wenn sie in ein authentisches Dorfleben eintauchen möchten, sind sie hier genau richtig. Die Wohnung ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und der Garten mit Palmen und Papayas wunderbar. Chiquinha wohnt im Nebenhaus und ist eine wunderbare Gastgeberin . Es gibt viel privacy und einen wunderbaren Strand, den Silver Beach. Das Baden im Meer bei hohen Wellen ein Erlebnis und das ohne großen Tourismus. Das Restaurant hat uns wunderbar bekocht.

Die Unterkunft Kasa di Terra mit Bergblick befindet sich in Sacramento, 12 km von Cape Verde National Stadium und 18 km von Sucupira Market entfernt. Authentic village life at its best! Tugged away from the rest of the world, Ja opened a room of her ancestor's home to guests who would like to experience what it's like to live in Cape Verdian raw country side - which includes being offline, taking cold showers with a bucket and a mug, sleeping in pin drop silence (apart from the roosters), walking in the steep hills, etc. One can go with a shared taxi until the roundabout of Sao Domingos. From there, a local can come and pick you up for 300 ESC, or you can walk (it's absolutely safe, the locals are friendly and helpful, location on the map is accurate). They can also drop you to the airport for 1500 ESC, and it just takes 30mins to reach. Ja knows how to cook for vegetarians, too. She is a witty and interesting host to talk to. I am still amazed at the purity and simplicity of this place, and hope to be back one day.

Location: The apartment is situated in a nice quiter location with a good view from the front. Cleanliness: Everything was neat and tidy, which made for a pleasant stay. Hospitality: The host was an amazing and friendly person. His warm welcome made me feel right at home. He was always available for questions and ready to help whenever I needed it. Overall: I am very satisfied with my stay in this apartment. The combination of the great location, the tidiness, and especially the host's hospitality made my experience unforgettable. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming stay.
