Very charming room and courtyard right on the main road by the South Gate. The location cannot be beaten. The family room (2 double beds) is charming and the courtyard is a typical traditional court with the red lanterns. Staff was extremely friendly, they explained everything and let us keep the room until 3pm at no extra charge.

El Xiangshengyuan Hostel està situat a Pingyao, a la regió de Shanxi, declarada Patrimoni de la Humanitat per la UNESCO. This is a family-run hotel with the whole family pitching in. They were delightful and keen to be helpful with lots of cups of tea, advice and assistance with purchasing tickets. It felt like I was staying with friends. Very little english, but fearless with using translation apps. Very thoughtful - gave me a bottle of water for the train home after dropping me at the station. The standout for this property was the staff. I wish them every success with their business.

Datong Yunzhong Traditional Courtyard is located in Datong Ancient Town, a 5-minute walk from Huayan temple and Nine Dragon Wall. It is a quadrangle courtyard Inn with traditional decoration. Like living in ancient times, but with modern facilities. Lovely architecture and very thoughtful interior design. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Ideal location. Nice touch of providing fruits and snacks in the room and unique takeaway items.

La família que el regenta son súper agradables i parlen molt bé l’anglès. L’esmorzar estava molt bo i no tenia horari!

El Lao Cheng Gen Hostel està situat al nucli antic de Pingyao, que ha estat declarat Patrimoni de la Humanitat per la UNESCO, a 10 minuts a peu de Xianya, l'antiga seu governamental, i ofereix servei... Es una casa antiga dins la muralla de Pingyao, les habitacions son senzilles però netes, i el pati interior és molt acollidor
