It's truly paradisiacal, only on weekends it gets full with Carioca tourists. There are secluded beaches and short hiking trails that invite you for a day trip. Otherwise, the area is very safe, family-friendly, and has everything you need for living. I was invited to have lunch with the owner family, I received a lot of help and everyone (the whole village) was wonderfully friendly.
