24 km from Horses' Waterfall, Pensiune Restaurant Pizzerie 2 Păuni is a recently renovated property set in Borşa and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. A nice and new place, right next to the main street so it would be easy to find it, however, might seem a little noisy if sleeping with opened windows. Everything feels nice and very good kept of, all clean. There is a restaurant downstairs with delicious food and gigantic portions. Definitely a place to recommend!

The place is just perfect for what we needed: great location, comfortable and well appointed, quiet for a peaceful sleep, a fully-kitted shared kitchen with everything you could possibly need, and an excellent host. The old town centre is literally just around the block so it makes exploring Baia Mare a breeze. The Mineralogy Museum is within walking distance (a must visit!) and there are many eateries and bars nearby the flat. We would be happy to come back and would be happy to recommend this place to anyone looking for a home away from home.

Very warm and hospitable host family. The room has all the modern comfort with traditional exterior. Shower was warm with good pressure. Mosquito nets were installed on all windows. The mattress was comfortable. This is an authentic Maramures experience where we got to stay on an operating farm instead of a curated touristy guesthouse. The family of 3 generations remained busy with their daily work. Due to my friend's food allergy, we did not dine with the family. However, Luca and his mother still showered us with tea and cakes. We appreciate the quiet and serene backyard too. Come and experience for yourself.

Located 6.4 km from The Wooden Church of Budeşti, Pensiunea Teodora Breb Maramu offers accommodation with a balcony, as well as a garden and barbecue facilities. Breb is such a special place.. and this is a lovely pensiunea! The owners are a family and I met Mom, Grandma, and the two daughters, one of whom is Teodora. She is the one after whom the pensiunea is named. I opted for room and board ... and they surely kept me well-fed! They also offered my palinka which I could only take in small doses for that is some strong stuff! I wanted a central location to visit this part of Maramures, for there are a number of historic wooden churches in the area and I was lucky enough to meet Father Steffan, who was from the Ieud parish. He got the keys and allowed me inside the wooden church in Manastirea, which is not all that far from Breb so I could peek at the exquisite interior. In any case, there are a lot of picturesque villages and sights in and around Breb.. and Breb itself is a great place to stoll and see traditional ways being lived out every day. And the family at Pensiunea Teodora was so kind and generous. Thank you so much!

Va ser un plaer poder estar a casa seva, ens ho van posar tot molt fàcil, fins i tot ens convidaren a apropar-nos a la seva cultura i al seu dia a dia. L'acomodació va ser ideal i tant el sopar com esmorzar que ens oferiren estaven molt bons.
