We liked everything about this hotel. The best "full English" I have ever had - delicious sausages, and everything freshly and expertly cooked to order. The room was large, comfortable, and had air conditioners, which meant we did not have to open the windows and listen to the traffic on the rather busy main road outside. The location is very convenient, directly opposite Lidl and only a short drive from Gwithian and Godrevy beach, and many other interesting places. Our hostess was extremely kind and helpful. An added bonus was being able to park on site.

Clare and Kevin are wonderful hosts. The room was cleaned and quite. You get free parking. It is walking distance from city center, grocery and the beach. We even walked until the Mount St Michael! And the breakfast is amazing! We had two English breakfasts, one regular and one vegetarian. It was very tasty and filling :) We will definitely stay at Clare and Kevin's place if we come back. Thanks :)

Perfect location, literally 60 seconds to the sandy beaches of Hayle. Room was spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed and bedding - the kettle and fridge in the room made it even more enjoyable. Barbara and Paul were amazing hosts and made me feel very well taken care of - the Penellen is a great place to stay and I would definitely stay here again.

    Breakfast excellent, especially liked the fresh fruit option, although hubby very happy with his Full English. Parking easy & on site. Hosts very welcoming & helpful. Not an issue for us, but guests need to be aware this is a hilly area, so walk to beach is down a steep hill. Frequent, cheap train to St Ives, so leave the car behind when visiting restaurants etc.
