Overlooking Poetto Beach, Hotel Nautilus is located in Cagliari. It offers a garden, a bar and free WiFi in all areas. Location is as perfect as it can be, first line in front of Poetto beach and less than 100m from La Sella del Diavolo beach bar, where the hotel keeps sun loungers you can use for free during your stay, additionally you can borrow a beach umbrella from the hotel for free and you can rent beach towels for a one time 3 EUR fee/person for your stay. The location is good for runners/bikes with dedicated lane on street, supermarket Despar was half a km away or ~7 min walk. The area has lot of restaurants, beach bars and it is not far away from the port. The beach was nice for us, it is shallow with crystal clear water, but the beach can get busy in afternoon. The hotel has a pool which is not that big but wasn't that busy for us during a peak summer period. Room was decently sized, cleaned daily and towels can be changed daily if you request it, AC was working fine and was okay to leave on entire night without feeling dry and cold in the morning. Slippers were provided. Breakfast was in a buffet format, many croissants, basic eggs and bacon, sweets, porridge, yogurt etc. For a summer holiday stay in Italy it was a good breakfast offer. Staff are very, very friendly so just ask questions about anything you need or you have problems with. The hotel doesn't have an iron, but the staff were kind enough to lend us a steamer for our clothes. They also arranged taxi for us both for arrival and departure from the airport with no hiccups. The hotel has several recommendations for restaurants, including one of their own which has a small discount. Cagliari is 15 minutes by bus, stop is 3 min walk from hotel, ticket costs 1.3 EUR one-way/person buy at the beach bar. The highlight for us was the fact the hotel is fine to allow the use of beach towel and lending of sun loungers, beach umbrella as well as provide access to pool for people who have already checked out on their last day. You can store the luggage safely and there is a toilet near the reception.

A recently renovated guest house, Domo Cicindela offers accommodation in Carloforte. The property has sea and city views, and is 1.1 km from Spiaggia di Dietro ai Forni. This is a correction! Wrong place previously reviewed Our host Simone and staff were exceptional. We were greeted by Sara who made us feel at home and provided us with a lot of helpful information and recommendations for restaurants. The location is excellent, right in the center of town and close to everything. The facilities are newly renovated and the appointments and decorations were fresh and delightful. The coffee bar was the perfect place to get a start on the day and read my emails. Thank you, Simone & Sara!

Located in Santa Maria Navarrese, Vireo Rooms is a recently renovated accommodation, 70 metres from Spiaggia di Santa Maria Navarrese and 28 km from Domus De Janas. Fancy and modern small boutique b&b close to the beach and town center. Marta is an amazing host and very engaged. She makes awesome breakfast that you can enjoy on the wonderful terrace with sea view. Would totally come back!

Located in Cagliari within 37 km of Nora and 1 km of National Archaeological Museum of Cagliari, Casa Lounge Costituzione provides rooms with free WiFi. The property is very clean and looks just like the picture. Comfortable with air condition (which is very important during summer). Julita has been an absolute delight. She is always so helpful starting before the check in. She will message us to confirm on arrival time and get the room ready (if possible) before our arrival. She even helped us with various issues, such as booking of restaurant, mailing of postcard etc. The level of service is higher than even the 5 star hotels I have stayed. On top of that the place is centrally located with easy accesses to restaurants and shopping areas around. With the price, it is really value for money.

Set in Tortolì, Domo Annalisa is a recently renovated accommodation, 26 km from Domus De Janas and 47 km from Gorroppu Gorge. Perfect location for boat rides along the coast. Helios boats ticket office is right downstairs, and next to it a supermarket. The stunning red rocks are a 5 minute walk. Plenty of cafes within minutes. Very central, yet peaceful. Easy free parking. Apartment is newly renovated and clean. Loved the bedroom lamps.. It was great to have a sofa. Made it feel like a cozy home for a couple days. Huge terrace with lemon trees. Sunset view. View includes industrial cranes of the port, but it didn’t bother me. Soundproof. Slept very well. Enjoyed the vibe of this small town and the rocks are just gorgeous. Host was also very nice. If you have children, there’s a massive playground n the way to the red rocks. It’s a kind of adventure park with treehouses and rope bridges. Great for older children too. You have everything you need within 5 minutes. Also gelato!
