- everything was pefrect: location, both bedrooms, view was gorgeous - if you want barbeque -> you have everything you need - parking lot for 4-5 cars - full kitchen (don't have a dishwasher) - close to all most interesting Geres points

A bit of a narrow road to get to the accommodation. We were met by a very friendly lady. She gave us the key to the apartment (L2). Parking in front of the house. Location is excellent for going to the National Park. The owner gave us plenty of tips to visit the park the next day. L2 is very spacious; a couple of bedrooms (incl a cot), two bathrooms, lounge area and a well-equipped kitchen. When the sun was shining we enjoyed a glass of wine on the balcony. Big outdoor area with bbq. Beds were very comfortable. Wood fire worked well and all rooms were on a very nice temperature. Overall we were very happy with our stay and can recommend this apartment to other travellers or families.

It was perfect!!! Me and my wife spent a week at this place and we both loved it so much!! Everything was great inside the house, really spacious even for a family with kids I believe. It was comfortable and with a really beautiful view. We had everything we needed in all the rooms to cook, light the fire, change the beds and new supplies too (toilet paper, towels, sheets, pillow case). The hosts were soo helpful with us!!! It was a great stay, we would definitely come back!!

We had a wonderful stay in Gerês! The property is very well located, close to the village center with a supermarket just around the corner and at least three really good restaurants within walking distance. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed — coffee, tea, and all the cooking supplies — which made our stay very convenient. The bed was super comfortable, with extra pillows provided, and there was also a sofa bed with cable TV and plenty of movies to enjoy in the evenings. Hot water was always available, and having a hair dryer on hand was a nice touch. Our host was extremely kind and helpful, giving us insightful recommendations on where to eat and what to see in the area. Their tips really made our trip even better. We 100% recommend this property for a week in Gerês — perfect for comfort, convenience, and a great local experience!

We spent four nights here, and all I can say is that it was perfect. Every small detail was taken care of, from having a laundry basket in the bathroom and a place for your toothbrush to high-quality kitchenware and a decent internet connection—whatever we needed, it was there. This definitely made our experience in Gerês even more enjoyable. Thank you, Manuel and your wife, for being so accommodating and making such a welcoming place.

The owner is very kind and helpful. The apartments and the garden are very clean and thoughtfuly arranged with a lot of facilities and appliances needed for a wonderful rest and feeling home. The view from the apartments is stunning. 20 minutes walk or 3 min ride by car to the nearest and very cozy beach - Praia do México.

    The view from the balcony apartments was outstanding. Use of the pool until 9.00pm and the tranquility was excellent too. Special thank you to Isabel for her advise on excellent walking routes, places to visit, etc, its very useful to have such experience on site. Easy access to Geres for lovely walks into the mountains and swimming in the lake below the porperty is a must!

    Rosa & her partner were very friendly and always on-hand to help if we had any issue or question. The flat is clean and has lovely decor and everything you need for a short stay. There was also a welcome pack and fresh bread rolls left for us each moring which was a nice touch, and very much appreciated. The Rio Caldo area is beautiful and you can walk from the flat to a few nice restaurants and bars, aswell as the lakes.

    A lovely studio apartment above Rio Caldo. Comfy bed and good facilities. We arrived on foot, and were happy to walk 40 minutes up to it. Communication with the host was excellent throughout. We will certainly be coming back again.
