Aidar picked us up from the airport and both he and his wife were incredibly warm and friendly from the start. They guarded us while we picked up some cash from the ATM, helped me set up a local SIM card, and taught us a lot about the Kyrgyz people. Their guesthouse was clean and lovely and we had everything we needed. We arrived as strangers and left as friends!

Staff was kind and I enjoyed my 6-night stay here. Despite the disparate location, there's actually a ton of good stores and restaurants right nearby. A dusty gravelly Kyrgyz wonderland.

A nice, family-run hostel on the upper side of the city, with a nice kitchen area, clean bathrooms, and understanding owners. You have to pay for the washing machine separately in most places, but you can use it for free here. I'm glad I stayed here.

Our room was big with a nice large bed for two and the decor was lovely. AC worked great, clean, and the wifi was good. The family was amazing, and the daughters all beautiful and cheerful. We had a great breakfast talking with our host that took the time to sit down with us and get to know us and his family as well!
