Staying with a local family in the village gave us an authentic Ugandan experience. Felix and his family are incredibly kind and welcoming, and he is doing remarkable work in the community. He's also very knowledgeable. We stayed with them again last night, arriving around 9:30 PM after a long, exhausting day of trekking. Nothing was too much trouble—they heated water for us to bathe, made a hearty, delicious meal late at night, and prepared an amazing breakfast this morning. It was also lovely spending time with their beautiful daughter. I highly recommend staying with them to anyone visiting the village.
