We came to this hotel just to overnight due to a very early flight in the following morning and what a surprise! Great landscape, bar was great as well the restaurant and attached to the hotel other attractions. And to close the great stay we had breakfast open @4:00 which was great before boarding and flighting in the morning by 6:00 am.

Centrally located in the heart of Rio de Janeiro, it’s within walking distance from Glória Subway Station and Municipal Theatre. Copacabana Beach is 10 minutes by car. Comfortable Modern clean Hotel. Loved the breakfast. Good value for money. I visited during the Rio Carnival and a few events were around the area where the hotel was located. It was closer to the airport. Bit further away from the beach. BUT uber is very cheap. Cost me £4-5 to get to Ipanema. Neighbourhood doesn’t look that unsafe compared to some of the reviews I had read before going on holiday. Some of the blocos were around the hotel and it was safe. Having said that I took Ubers to the beach everyday as it was very cheap.

The Novotel Santos Dumont is the perfect choice for those seeking comfort, functionality and practicality in the heart of Rio de Janeiro. We had a wonderful stay at the Novotel RJ Santos hotel. Without exception all of the staff made us feel very welcome. We don’t speak Portuguese but everyone made a great effort to either speak English to us or to understand what we wanted. We had breakfast and our evening meals at the hotel every day and both were exceptional. The food was delicious and great value for money. Our room was spotlessly clean. If we go to Rio de Janeiro again we will definitely choose to stay at this hotel.
