Rome in mid May was very busy with tourists as is to be expected for such a destination. Our highlights were the Panthenon, Coliseum, the Sistene Chapel and St Peter's (far less so the the vatican mueseum area) plus a quiet 2 hour train trip to Orvieto and the caves and well.

Hit all the main sites and had a wonderful time. Of course, there were crowds but that was to be expected. Did catch the Spanish Steps at 0745 and no crowds, but stopped at the Trevi on the way ( around 0615) and it was already crowded. all the sited were worth enduring the crowds, the rain, and the price. Skip the line option is money well spent.

Rome is a perfect stay for families and group of friends as well as solo travelers! However, I wouldn't recommend larger groups visiting in the top season - especially not with older people. Getting around Rome is easiest by foot - overcrowded public transport and nervous locals trying to get to work (not blaming them to be honest) isn't adding a good light to the overall atmosphere of the city. Personal tip from me is to plan your trip to Rome well in advance and book entrance tickets to attractions online good 2-3 months in advance if not more - and also make sure of the opening hours of each attraction. Me and my family stayed only for 3 days and it was absolutely not enough to see everything we wanted. I would suggest to make the trip at least 5 days if you want to make the most of it!

I came around 3rd week of May and it’s already very crowded starting at 10. If you want to check the places quietly and to have good pictures, I recommend to wake up early, especially for Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and Pantheon. Rome is very cultural and it’s nice to see the churches especially the facades. Food is also a must try.

We stayed at this hotel on the first night arriving in Italy and also our last night. There is a BIG difference in the quality of the two rooms. This particular room was very up to date. BEAUTIFUL! I wished we had gotten this room on our first night! Great location, easy walk from train station! We tried gelato at least 15 times in our 2 week Europe trip, and the Gelato directly across the street from the hotel is the WINNER for the BEST gelato!!! I recommend the amaretto cherries one with the brittle. WOW!!

The building although found in the old city of Rome, was modern and aesthetically pleasing. The room was spacious and clean and we were also offered water which we could refill from the hotel itself - who doesn’t love a sustainable act? The best part was the breakfast - so delicious and mouthwatering, I’ve never tasted such good breakfast at a hotel in Italy! The food was so genuine and fresh - pure delicacies of Rome! Finally, Erica the receptionist was so sweet and welcoming on our arrival and departure.

The breakfast offerings were great too. The reception staff went out of their way to be supportive and booked our tours for Rome and Florence. Daniel and Giuseppe were my go to guys and they were outstanding. It was the most comfortable hotel during our stay in Italy. The staff really wanted you to enjoy your stay,

The Room was well laid out and was super convenient to the Metro station, just steps away from the entrance. The bed/pillows were one of the most comfortable I had during my 2 week journey through Italy. AC was able to keep the room cold on a hot summer evening. And the washroom/shower was surprisingly spacious compared to the average Italian accommodation. Keep in mind this is not a 4 or 5 star hotel. But the room was was far from basic, and Rome can be expensive (even for hostels)

It was a perfect stay at the middle of the historical city of Rome located within 1 km from Colosseum and just over a km from Roma Termini station. Very clean and comfortable room with a balcony and plenty of air and lights. The AC really can cool down the room unlike most of the hotels of Italy. Both room and toilet looked very well maintained. Bonus point was the nice and helpful behavior of the host. She went beyond our expectations with her helpfulness. Highly recommended.

Very clean rooms. Very friendly and helpful front desk personnel. Good location of the hotel, quite close to the Termini railway station and centre of Rome. We travelled by bus (628 and 360, mainly, if I recall well). The closest Metro station is quite far from the hotel (11-12 mins. of walking). We relied a lot on Google Maps and Moovit in our holidays in Italy. They didn't dissapoint us, especially when we were walking or commuting from the hotel to the city centre.

I stayed here only for a night to reach the airport quickly in the morning. Termini station is only a 3-minute walk away and you can easily travel somewhere else in Italy or go to Fiumicino airport. Besides the bathroom that had a really bad smell, the place felt quite clean. This is place is a decent option only for a short stay. I wouldn’t recommend this for a vacation in Rome.
