A Warm and comfortable house within walking distance of Sheringham and main town centre shops. House was in good order however the toilet seat needed properly fixing and the kitchen was in need of a refurbishment.

The cafe at the nearby Lighthouse Baptist Church was a great place for lunch and the Little Theatre had an excellent programme. Shops and public library very good places to visit. Easy to get around one way system by car and plenty of disabled parking spaces.

We were there for a specific event, but found Sheringham itself a bit of a let down. Maybe because it was April and out of season? but everything seem to close at 4pm and then practically completely shut down by 8pm!
AND THIS IS ON A SATURDAY!
There was only one proper takeaway fish and chip bar (2 others were closed down) and this one had a queue the length of the entire road!
Even the restaurants were closed by 8!
After that the only things that were still open were amusements and ice cream bars, of which I counted at least 4! within feet of each other!
Where does everyone go?

A great base for a North Norfolk short stay.
A great base for a North Norfolk short stay.
We find that Sheringham is mainly day trippers so becomes quiet come early evening, not as crowded as other spots with a handful of good eateries.
Access to Cromer via the beach walk or cliff top walk or bus or train if not feeling energetic.
Holt via the steam train is a great day trip from here.
A lot of country parks/national trust properties within half hour drive.
Don't miss whelks copper tea rooms overlooking the pebble beach end of the beach and Stubbys pizza is also great.

I like Sheringham, but only visited twice in Winter (for Thursford Show).
I think it would be lovely in Summer.
It is an old fashioned seaside resort , but unlike many others, has thrived and not deteriorated.
Many individual shops and a few nice pubs and coffee places.

Sheringham is a fab little seaside place with everything you need, and spotlessly clean. Lots of lovely shops, pubs/restaurants and cafes, and a fabulous long pebbled/sandy beach, what’s not to love!
This was an accommodation only address but was located in a position that gave easy access to the town centre and seafront with its wide range of pubs, eating establishments and traditional shopping areas. On street parking, close to the property proved to be relatively easy but I'm not sure this would be the case in high season. The rear garden was secure and a great area for sitting when the weather is warm enough. Sheringham is a friendly small town and offers great customer service in all shops, pubs and the Heritage Railway.
Highfield House was excellent - a smart, clean and airy place more like a boutique hotel than a guesthouse. The location is good for the town but still a few roads away from the centre so not noisy. As a walker (the Norfolk Coast Path isn’t far away) I just need a
comfy bed and the double in my deluxe single room was perfect. Although I didn’t use them this time, you can pre-book dinner, use a bar and beer garden and they even pack picnics. Breakfast was very good with fresh fruit, varied vegan/veggie options cooked to order
The room was quirky and unique, the bed was extremely comfortable, lovely dual aspect and two comfy chairs to relax in.
The breakfast was fantastic, and we particularly liked ordering in advance, and having the same table each morning. The little gifts were a lovely touch on check out.
The hosts Jacqui and Dean were exceptional and we could not have asked for a better ambience. We would go out of our way to make this our base in the future when visiting Norfolk.
The location was ideal, only a mere 10 minutes from the seafront and the shops in Sheringham. The bed was a very comfortable night's sleep, with a special mention going to the mattress that was perfect. As a place to stay, it was lovely, and the hosts were very accommodating, making themselves available incase we ever had any questions. Good facilities, including tea/coffee making, hairdryers and a Samsung TV which we used to watch the Euro 2020 Final.
In terms of Sherringham the location was OK, but Station Road (the main street very busy) The real highlight of the place is the North Norfolk Railway. The staff and volunteers are lovely, and very welcoming. A credit to preserved railways, the carriages are clean, freshly painted and varnished inside, the exteriors of their rolling stock also excellent, we were really impressed. Knowlegable and enthusiastic a must to visit, a credit to the town!
The room, Colombo, is a great size also very comfortable and relaxing. Bed also a good size. Great big wardrobe. Perera and Vatsala are a lovely couple - very obliging, friendly and hospitable. We loved the range of fruit provided for breakfast. Also very happy with the location - right next to the old priory and maze and priory gardens - and just a walk away from the town and seafront. We loved Sheringham and had great weather throughout.
The property was set back, private in its own space with a fenced garden - ideal if you are taking a dog. It was well-maintained and clean. It was cosy and comfortable and had most of the things needed. Within easy walk of the centre of Sheringham (nice places to eat and friendly service) and the beach. Lovely trails in each direction for our longer dog walks.
Fisherman's Rest is a bright, stylish and well located apartment very centrally located in the lovely seaside town of Sheringham. The weekend we visited ( March) it was cold and grey outside, but the apartment was warm and cosy, and we enjoyed spending time there. Jo is a helpful and welcoming host, and supplied tea and coffee and biscuits which was appreciated.
Very short and easy way to the town centre, still quiet at nights. Very clean and nicely decorated. Fresh fruits and berries at breakfast as well as full English breakfast, toast and home-made marmelade/jam. Close to the Norfolk Coastal Path, which had just gorgeous scenery. We had a huge bathroom with a hot tub and shower.👍Loved the place!
The hosts at the Camberley were found to be very welcoming, the breakfast was exceptional, with lots of choices from cereal through to full English
The property was pleasantly decorated throughout, bedroom (rm 2) was ample for our needs, with pleasant views over Sheringham, ensuite had a super power shower,
Plenty of choice for breakfast, and very high quality too. This is one of the very best places I have stayed in away from home. Tremendously high standard. Clare was fantastic to deal with and could not have ben more helpful. It's location is brilliant for accessing the North Norfolk area
Friendly staff, good price compared to rest of Sheringham places to stay full self service kitchen and also lots lounge space etc this is a big yha. Location is handy for Tescos and 5 min walk from station
We have visited Norfolk many times and this is the best self-catering accommodation so far. It has parking is close to town and beach and all the little details essential to your stay are present.
Lovely setting, clean, well managed, superb breakfasts, peaceful. Christine and Ian are so welcoming, helpful but not intrusive at all. Great location for travelling round North Norfolk.
Great location for the North Norfolk railway and the seafront. Good to have onsite parking. Good choices for breakfast too. Nice to be able to relax on the patio.
