Friendly helpful staff, clean, comfortable. Generally good quality everything. I like that your room isn't made up unless you want it to be. Too many hotels just go in every day regardless. Sometimes in England motorcycle riders are treated like second class citizens. Not here. Everyone is equal. No daft snobbery

Douglas seems to have everything!
Douglas seems to have everything! The restaurants are many and varied and range from the simple to sophisticated. There are bus services everywhere, and taxis arrive promptly. Shopping is easy, and all the services I needed were centrally located. The Queen scallops are worth a detour.

Beautiful, peaceful town.
Beautiful, peaceful town. People were very kind and always willing to help, ie - with directions, etc.
Just to add on about The Rutland Hotel - the young man at Reception, Kyle I think his name was, ever so helpful and kind. Nothing was a problem for him to assist with. Cannot remember the names of the other staff members. At breakfast, the staff in there were always willing to help. The night reception staff one night, did get us a drink from the bar when we got back in the evening and found the bar shut. He helped us and put it on our hotel bill. That was really so appreciated by myself and my friend Busi. We probably would stay at this hotel again, unless it’s just about trying the other ones. Overall, it is not a bad hotel at all😊

Douglas and The Isle of Man are well worth a visit.
Douglas and The Isle of Man are well worth a visit. There is so much to see and the transport options to get round the island are varied and interesting. The vintage trains are all with a visit - check timetables as some are limited and finish around 4-5pm. Plan a visit to the Tynwald - the oldest continuous parliament in the world - visits are only on Fridays and Mondays - although there is a public gallery for sittings which happen on some Tuesdays. The Manx Musuem is also worth a visit too.

I was in Douglas for business.
I was in Douglas for business. I spent an afternoon walking the town and was quickly bored.
I used the cinema one evening. The girls at reception were charming and the cinema had a nice feel to it.
The hotel is fantastic!! Family friendly, the rooms are spacious and ours had a bath and a large walk in shower, bed is super comfortable, tea making facility and a coffee machine! The swimming pool is clean and modern, we loved it, breakfasts are amazing, so much choice, the fry was amazing!! and beautuil produce. If you're looking for a hotel close to douglas as a base this is the one! We cannot wait to come back! I loved that it's so so clean!! Even with it being a pet friendly hotel it's immaculate. Highly recommended the comis
The hotel was in a fantastic location on Douglas Promenade with the shops and bars a 1 minute walk away. The breakfast in the mornings was fantastic. This was a served breakfast rather than the usual self service buffet style. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a lovely comfortable lounge to sit in and they have a good bar menu if you don’t want to go in for a full dinner. Extensive drinks list as well. A very clean and comfortable hotel.
Our suite was wonderful, extremely clean and very friendly staff. The breakfast was probably the best which we have had world wide, including 5 star hotels - and served with a smile. We will be back in the Spring and will definitely be booking at The Regency. A final note - due to family illness back in England, we had to cut our visit short by one day, and the staff were very supportive and helpful in this.
Very friendly and helpful staff from reception and all other departments. Scenic and quiet location. The veiws from the breakfast/coffee lounge were stuning. The breakfast buffet was mainly very good with a good selection of hot and cold food. A nice fresh new feel to the hotel. Possibly the nicest on the Island. Lovely golf course which would have played if had time.
The Island is a very welcoming and comfortable hotel run by Celine, Antony and Reanne. Communications from Celine were very good. The rooms are spacious and very clean with very nice showers too!
Breakfast is wonderful, with a range of cereals to a full cooked breakfast and even kippers. The breakfasts were a perfect and welcome start to a busy day at the Isle of Man.
The staff were exceptional. Friendly, polite, helpful & kind.
The price included breakfast and super fast broadband.
Rooms were well designed, clean and fully equipped.
Breakfast was freshly cooked with cereal and fresh fruit available.
There is a well stocked bar
The hotel is a short stroll into Douglas
Breakfast was excellent, staff were very friendly & helpful eg getting times for steam train etc. also, the receptionists were exceptionally helpful, printing off our boarding passes & booking our taxi to the airport. The hotel is well positioned for getting around Douglas on foot.
The hotel was amazing. It was clean, tidy and welcoming. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order, perfect way to start my days out. Acky the barman was friendly and always on hand to help, in and out of the bar. Definitely will be my first choice when revisiting the isle of man.
Beautiful hotel and great location. Staff is amazing! I lost my credit card in the elevator shaft and they promptly called for service. It was retrieved the next day! Sammi (hope that's the correct spelling) at reception is an absolute gem!❤️ Will definitely stay again!
The staff were so friendly - nothing was too much! The hotel is 5 minutes walk from the promenade so perfect location.
The breakfast was delicious with loads of choice. The rooms are clean and perfect to use as a base to explore Douglas and the rest of the island.
Would definitely recommend the Isle of Man, this was our first visit and we really enjoyed it.The hotel location is excellent, very good for access to the many attractions in the area. The breakfast was very good, as was the attached pan asian restaurant.
The room was big and warm. The personnel are really nice and helpful. The Internet works really fast and I even had Netflix at the hotel TV.
It's up to you if you prefer to have breakfast at the hotel or want to go for a walk and eat something nearby.
A very clean, fresh comfortable hotel with a tasty breakfast. Room 12 was lovely and we had a separate sitting area to relax in. We enjoyed our stay and was spoiled by Yolandi our Host. I would recommend this Hotel and would stay again.
Location is good. Most of the seafront in Douglas is under constuction. Bed was excellent, the curtains did not block out much light. No aircon which was expected but the room cooled off nicely. Ken and the other staff were great.
I've been known to say that the Victorian hotels on Douglas promenade need knocking down.
However the level of detail given to the rooms and the guest's stay here are fantastic.
Exceptional breakfast.
